41118.jpgSession 1- This will be a "getting to know you" session where students will introduce themselves and talk about ways they use technology in their personal and academic lives. We will have an informal conversation about social networks, and digital safety just to get a feel for where students are and how, if at all, technology is being used in their classrooms.

Student Wiki
Then we give a short orientation our 21st Century Learners project and intro/overview a wiki we will be using with them over the course of the school year. As part of a follow-up to Session 1 there will be articles for them to review (one for 4-6th and one for 7th-12th ) and a discussion prompt. There will also be a short online survey.

Student 2.0

We are students: the ones who come to school every day, raise our hands with safe questions, and keep our heads down. Except, now we have a voice—a strong voice—to share our ideas through a global network. (Take a few minutes and read through some of these posts and the comments of the readers. Leave a comment of your own to a post you find interesting. Explore the format of this blog. Would this be something that would work in your school - think about why or why not? Then click on the "Discussion" tab at the top and weigh in )
